AccTech announces eWORKFLOW real-time management system

ACCPAC business partner, AccTech Systems (ATS), has announced the availability of eWORKFLOW, an addendum to ACCPAC`s range of products, which tracks actuals, budgets and commitments in real-time for purchases and internal requisitions.

Tertius Zitzke, managing director of AccTech Systems, says eWORKFLOW was designed to enhance the procurement and internal issuing functionality within the ACCPAC suite of products. "With the propriety developed workflow engine, eWORKFLOW also allows the routing of documents as per predefined document workflows and business rules," he says.

eWORKFLOW offers key benefits to ACCPAC users, among these is the ability to offer a full audit trail, including comments, and electronic notification and escalation by e-mail. "eWORKFLOW allows users to track documents and automatically escalate urgent documents to administrators if not attended to within the allotted time frame.

"There is also a request for quote module which uses purchase history to show vendors last quoted, vendors last receipted from, preferred vendors and the item costing by vendor," says Zitzke.

The product offers the ability to route any document on approval to an `ad hoc` user, which might not be a part of a workflow process for specific queries and authorisation. "Further to this, the drill down feature on stock re-order allows users to see all open orders that make up quantity on purchase orders and quantity on sales orders," says Zitzke.

eWORKFLOW does not use ACCPAC user licences, but requires an API licence to write transactions into the ACCPAC infrastructure. "With the named eWORKFLOW users and independent security groups, record level security can be maintained by user and process in many different scenarios," Zitzke concludes. eWORKFLOW can be downloaded from www.acctech.biz.
