AccTech Systems is delivering the power of Microsoft Azure to its lineup of Sage products

Centurion, Pretoria, 27 Feb 2018

AccTech Systems, the SADC Sage 300 Partner of the year for 2017, is successfully implementing its line-up of Sage products in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, giving customers the best of both worlds. Sage applications in the cloud enable businesses to work nearly anywhere, anytime and on almost any device. Infrastructure can now streamline business and deliver cost savings while focusing on value-add user and customer experiences.

Microsoft Azure allows organisations to quickly and easily build and run applications without having to be sidetracked from this task by focusing on the physical hardware infrastructure. Features like automatic built-in network load balancing and resiliency to hardware failure pave the way for companies to digitally transform their operations. Azure also supports a deployment model that enables businesses to upgrade applications without any downtime of the service to users.

"Running Sage applications in Azure has created significant advantages over the standard on-premises applications," says AccTech Systems CEO Tertius Zitzke. "There is a noticeable increase in data mobility and an expanded access to this data. Reports from back office systems are available to a wider group of stakeholders such as clients and subcontractors who are not themselves users of the on-premises Sage products. Our Sage customers can reduce their on-premises running costs but also benefit from incredible scalability for those high-volume processing periods," says Zitzke.

AccTech's Microsoft certification now extends to the Azure-stack. This includes the vast array of Azure services like the Security Centre, Blob Storage, Cortana Analytics Suite and Power BI. "The biggest advantage for our customers is the cost saving in enabling and scaling services in the Azure Stack," says Zitzke.

Businesses worldwide have been changing the way they deploy and consume software, moving away from the rigid, on-premises applications to the more convenient and cost-effective cloud options. Small-to mid-sized enterprise businesses have the option to run their Sage applications from their own data centre, or deploy it fully in the cloud to help them move faster, do more, and save money. Now everyone can leverage the power of Azure in the way that best suits the needs of their business.
