A growing number of customers are requesting high-availability solutions to address their Linux and Unix environments. With the acquisition of the HA Technology Solutions (HATS) distribution through Lakeview, TCM will strengthen its offerings to these and the iSeries markets, addressing multiple operating environments.
"The Lakeview HATS offering adds to TCM`s product strategy roadmap, delivering high-availability, disaster recovery and clustering solutions," says TCM marketing executive Jorge de Campos.
"The addition of HATS to the MIMIX product line offers customers more high availability options. The HATS products complement our current MIMIX products with additional functionality and the ability to protect more servers and operating systems besides OS/400 and Windows," says De Campos.
"HATS gives Lakeview additional technical experience in important areas such as Linux and Unix. This more powerful and diversified set of technical capabilities will enable Lakeview`s MIMIX R&D to build additional products to complete our MIMIX Division product roadmap," he notes.
"Recovery objectives are essential requirements in any high availability solution," explains De Campos.
"TCM and Lakeview deliver products on the IBM iSeries and Intel platforms that address these critical objectives and answer questions regarding the data integrity requirements of your business information and how quickly you need to recover failed applications," he says.
De Campos says Lakeview will further enhance Mimix on the iSeries and on the Wintel platform delivering the same value proposition on the Unix and Linux environments.
The HATS products deliver high availability and replication for a wide range of Unix and Linux operating environments. The four main products of the HATS family are:
* HA Clusters - HATS` flagship product for high-availability clustering software.
* HA EchoStream FS - File replication software for disaster recovery and downtime prevention.
