The acquisition is expected to enhance the company's European language services to support call centre and business process operations. The acquired company will collaborate with Italy-based Innova Consulting and Netherlands-based Unamic/HCN to serve Xerox's clients worldwide.

XL World director Roberto Montandon said the company's language capabilities broaden ACS' diverse abilities by offering localised services to clients who require multiple linguistic resources, writes CBR.

"Together, we'll be able to develop opportunities in Europe and emerging markets to grow our capabilities and geographical reach," said Montandon.

XL World will broaden its services portfolio to offer ACS customer care capabilities, from social media analytics to back-office operations, said ACS.

ACS is a business process outsourcing and information technology services company, based in Dallas, and a part of Xerox's $22 billion global enterprise.

According to Business Week, XL World, founded in 2000, is focused on the telecommunications sector. Buying it will help Xerox provide clients access to affordable European language services for call centre and back-office services, the company said.

The acquisition covers XL's 1 500 workers and facilities in Romania.
