Actifio enters business continuity
Massachusetts-based Actifio is a new player in the data management virtualisation field, reveals ChannelPro.
This week, the company released the first three solutions in the Actifio software suite: Actifio DP for data protection, Actifio DR for data recovery, and Actifio BC for business continuity (BC).
All three solutions are built on Actifio's VirtualData Pipeline.
Russia urged to review risk plans
Following the forest fires in Russia and the resultant smog in Moscow, Marsh Risk Management has urged affected and potentially affected organisations to "review their current business continuity plans and insurance provision", reports Claims Journal.
According to Marsh, businesses should "immediately reassess their business continuity plans with employees, customers, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders.”
In addition, it says, firms should review the terms and conditions of their insurance policies with their insurance brokers and claims representatives to identify whether coverage is in place for any losses.
Cloud-based BC tool unveiled
Lawson Software has unveiled a cloud-based disaster recovery service, which is designed to help its customers achieve business continuity within hours of a technology-related disaster, says CBR.
Lawson said its disaster recovery allows organisations to resume business processes, including payroll, finance, accounts receivable and payable, inventory management, and procurement, within 12 hours.
The company is delivering the new disaster recovery offering via its cloud services.
