Actifio unveils new Program
Waltham MA-based Actifio has unveiled its new Actifio Partner Program to expand the market presence of its Actifio software suite, including Actifio DP, for data protection, Actifio DR, for disaster recovery and Actifio BC, for business continuity and VMware Site Recovery Manager, says eChannel Line.
While virtualisation has had a marked and growing penetration in servers and networking over the last several years, its impact on data management has been more limited - so far - the report says.
According to Actifio's CEO, Ash Ashutosh, whose lengthy storage resume includes a stint as VP and chief technologist of HP's StorageWorks division and founding AppIQ, this means that data management remains overly complex and overly expensive.
WiFiRanger avails continuity router
WiFiRanger has availed the WiFiRanger Pro, a new business continuity router designed for SOHO, and multiple site deployments offering advanced features not previously available within redundant backhaul routers, states Red Orbit.
"The WiFiRanger Pro delivers a cost effective way for businesses to insure Internet connectivity during a failure of traditional land based Internet circuits.
Within seconds of a DSL or cable failure, the WiFiRanger Pro will re-establish an Internet connection via either a 3 or 4G modem, or connect onto Public WiFi and allow the business to continue operation un-interrupted." states Kelly Hogan, CEO and Founder of WiFiRanger.com
MNP, Omnica invade USA
In the past year two UK-based vendors of multi-channel order management and fulfilment software, MNP and Omnica, have established beachheads in the US, reveals Multi Channel Merchant.
Each has proven its ability to create and maintain an 'Americanised' version of its system with regard to address formats, currency and spellings.
Terminology is covered as well, since many UK terms are more different than you might think, as well as sales taxes and shipping requirements.
