Acting CEO for SecureData

Johannesburg, 28 Jun 2011

JSE-listed vendor SecureData's FD will now also fulfil the role of CEO, while it hunts for a replacement for Dean Brazier.

notice to shareholders.

SecureData has been without a CEO since the second week of this month, when it said Brazier was leaving with immediate effect. FD Johan du Toit will take over straight away, it says.

The company says it will make an announcement about the appointment of a permanent CEO in “due course”.

Brazier, who had headed SecureData since 31 August 2005, stepped down because he did not want to move to SA from the UK.

In a statement released earlier this month, Brazier said: “It has become increasingly evident that the group requires a South African-based CEO to move them into the next phase of development. Although SA will always remain my family's home, we are not able to relocate from the UK at this time.”

At the time, the security company thanked Brazier, who joined it in 1999, for his contribution.
