Active Voice announces new sales and service organisation for Europe, Middle East and Africa

By Tin Can Communications
Johannesburg, 24 Aug 2000

Siltek Telecoms has announced that Active , a global provider of unified messaging and computer software solutions, is creating a European, Middle Eastern, and African (EMEA) sales and service organisation by merging its subsidiaries in the United Kingdom and The Netherlands.

This is the word from Michael Aitken who explains that the new division, called Active Voice EMEA, will be headquartered in The Netherlands, while maintaining local sales offices throughout the region.

"Active Voice wanted to align its organisation with the approach resellers and strategic partners are taking in these regions," states Aitken. "Many channel partners have organisations that cross Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for their marketing, sales, and service divisions and it is important that Active Voice mirrors their approach."

"In addition, as Active Voice expands its direct enterprise sales efforts, it is important to move forward with a single organisation across the EMEA geography to advance customers' effort. While two existing subsidiaries have already achieved impressive business results, we believe that we can achieve even higher performance and improve customer service by creating a single organisation," continues Aitken.

Furthermore, Aitken maintains that Active Voice will continue to build on the strengths of these teams in order to lead the market in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

"This region, especially Europe, has an excellent mobile communications infrastructure that lends itself to becoming one of the fastest-growing markets for unified messaging. By merging the strengths and expertise of regional offices, Active Voice will be poised to play a major role in this rapidly growing market," he adds.

"By offering an entire spectrum of sales and support, including customer service, production and the delivery of localised solutions for our partners will enable Active Voice to gain a tremendous competitive advantage," affirms Aitken. "A merged regional division will allow quick deployment of services to large enterprises that plan to roll out unified messaging solutions across multiple countries and regions."

"Armed with a united sales and support team that can work across the entire region, Active Voice EMEA can now quickly identify and secure opportunities, develop a specialised project management team for each implementation, and provide co-ordinated ongoing support," concludes Aitken.
