Adapt IT appoints technical executive

Adapt IT, a leading independent technology solutions and services company, based in KwaZulu-Natal, has appointed Kevin Dees as Technical Executive for Adapt IT Solutions, a subsidiary of the Adapt IT Group. Dees joins Adapt Solutions following a 17-year period with Hewlett Packard in South Africa and several other countries, including Germany and France.

Sbu Shabalala, Chief Executive Officer of Adapt IT Group, is confident Dees is the ideal fit for the business, saying: “Kevin has an immense amount of experience in the industry, both in South Africa and abroad. He has worked for several impressive multinationals over his career, and we are pleased to have someone with such depth of knowledge join our team.”

Dees joins Adapt IT Solutions, taking over responsibility for the Technical Business Unit, providing high-end enterprise server management and data protection services to customers in 10 countries. Included in his portfolio is responsibility for the sales function and growth of the business through new customer acquisition.

Dees believes there are three factors that will drive demand in the ICT sector, namely efficiency, simplicity and trust. Asked about the prospect of joining Adapt IT, Dees commented: “The company is in a fantastic place right now with exciting technology, extremely smart people who are passionate about what they do, and the opportunity to expand into new markets and sectors.”

Dees, an American citizen born and raised in California, has lived in South Africa for nearly eight years, and will now be based at the Adapt IT head office in KwaZulu-Natal.
