ADC, a leading global supplier of fiber optics, network equipment, software and integration services for broadband, multiservice networks, today announced a new organizational structure to better align the company to meet its strategic, operational and financial objectives. Under the leadership of Rick Roscitt, ADC`s newly appointed Chairman and CEO, ADC has conducted a thorough portfolio and organizational review in order to compete more effectively, grow shareowner return and better meet its customers` business needs.
The features of the new ADC include:
A New Office of the Chairman
An Office of the Chairman has been created to bring focused organizational oversight and shared strategic, operational and financial leadership for ADC. The new office will be comprised of Roscitt; Lynn Davis, President and Chief Operating Officer; and Bob Switz, who will fully resume his position as Chief Financial Officer.
New Product and Service Organizations
In order to align ADC`s product organizations with the company`s key strategic technologies, ADC also announced the formation of the Broadband Infrastructure and Access (BIA) organization, which represents the merging of the former Broadband Connectivity and Broadband Access and Transport Groups. The BIA organization will focus on ADC`s DSL, IP cable, optics and connectivity businesses. Integrated Solutions will remain focused on its core areas of software and systems integration.
A Strengthening of ADC`s Market Approach
ADC will also implement organizational changes in the areas of sales, marketing and customer service worldwide in order to streamline and enhance its focus on global customer satisfaction and profitable growth. This will be achieved by new operational reporting structures and organizations across ADC`s sales, marketing, customer service and corporate support centers that are more acutely focused on global ADC customer needs.
ADC will redouble its focus on four key growth areas, including DSL, IP cable, optics, and software, as well as its core connectivity products and systems integration business.
