Krugersdorp-based Alliance Corporation (ADC) has launched its AD-Mobility end-to-end development platform for customised mobile computing applications.

"AD-Mobility is distinguished by its ability to plug into any back-office," says ADC director Andrew Kirkland.

ADC group MD Paul Whysall explains: "Our approach is to establish that the has a genuine business case for mobile technology, and then to create a solution which comprehensively answers that requirement."

Kirkland says once a customer`s requirements have been discussed, ADC presents a solution that includes all the necessary development, hardware and connectivity requirements.

Whysall says mobile computing can be of benefit wherever having real-time access to corporate data improves productivity and decision-making. "This solution helps employees become more efficient in all areas of business, from inventory to asset management, operations scheduling and sales force automation."

The AD-Mobility solution uses XML-based mobile computing technology to provide sales automation, computer-aided service dispatch, business intelligence, on-the-spot invoicing and real-time entry of data.
