AdleRac receives two prestigious awards

Adlerac a Falcon Electronics (Pty) Ltd. subsidiary and popular computer racking and enclosure manufacturer has recently been awarded with two very grand awards. These were the new highly sought after - ISO9001:2000 Quality certification for achieving compliant quality standards of manufacture for its complete factory - and the Proudly South African certification in recognition for building a highly quality product entirely from local content.

Mr. Gert Brink a representative for the South African Bureau of Standards said, "We are proud to extend this very stringent standard over to Adlerac, as Adlerac is a company that has proven its commitment to quality. The company has not only been accredited with ISO certification more than a decade ago, but has managed to keep its quality approval throughout. This truly shows that a culture of quality is bred from within the company and these benefits are passed onto the industry."

Mr. Andrew Louw the quality officer at AdleRac commented, "It was imperative for AdleRac to switch over to the latest quality standards to keep AdleRac inline with new international standards. Notwithstanding a stumble here and there and driven by our commitment to SABS ISO 9001:2000 we at AdleRac will strive to supply a quality product that will satisfy the needs and expectations of our customers at all times. In conclusion I wish to thank all staff for actively contributing towards AdleRac`s policy of satisfying the customer."

At the same ceremony AdleRac was fortunate to have Ms. Anusha Makka from Proudly South Africa hand over AdleRac`s certificate. During her speech Ms. Anusha Makka highlighted the criteria of selection for companies wishing to join the Proudly South African programme. These criteria were:

1. Companies were to supply a quality product that brings value to its users.
2. The product had to be made from local content to increase spend within our own industries and to grow our own economy.
3. Companies had to practice fair labour practices.
4. The company had to comply with environmental standards.

Ms. Makka further said, "After having evaluated AdleRac we found the company to comply with all required criteria and is happy to make AdleRac a Proudly South African member."

The general manager Mr. Jerome Mentoor beamed with joy at having his company showered with these prestigious accolades. During his speech he said, "I`m truly proud at our achievements and growth. AdleRac has grown from strength to strength, we currently occupy more than 9000m2 of factory floor space, our exports are growing in all African markets and sales have doubled to Mauritius and Spain. During our growth we have been getting closer to some of our core objectives. Such as job creation to try and alleviate the bane of high unemployment. We have also set out to not only produce a quality product at a fair price but we constantly strive to meet market expectations, demands and standards. Some of our future objectives are to not only increase previously disadvantaged staff but to significantly increase our proportion of disabled staff members."

Mr. Mentoor also made a special mention to his committed staff and thanked them and reminded them that they have been the key to the companies success and hoped that they would continue the journey to a better and brighter South Africa together.
