Adobe conference heads to Europe

Adobe has announced that its MAX conference will be heading to Europe for the first time, with MAX 2007 taking place in Barcelona in October, reports PCAdvisor.

"Adobe Max 2007 Europe will provide a forum for sharing emerging technologies and eliciting feedback directly from European developers and designers," says Robert Raiola, Adobe's senior marketing director.

The conference will include technical sessions, workshops and technical support labs, which will cover all of Adobe's products and technologies. The conference will also feature networking events and presentations from industry experts.

OfficeMax and Canon have extended their relationship to offer colour, large-format printing at OfficeMax's print and document service, reports Printerinfo.

"The insight into this need comes directly from our customers - they let us know loud and clear that large format printing is a key necessity. Canon's world-class technology continues to exceed industry expectations and will enable OfficeMax ImPress to deliver exceptional quality that will help our customers design and produce their best work," says Brian Norris, senior VP for OfficeMax ImPress.

Through the use of Canon software and the Canon imagePROGRAF W6400 pigment ink printers, OfficeMax ImPress customers will be able to print high-quality poster-sized photographic prints, crisp large visual aids and graphs, and professional customised posters and signage.

HP digital imaging has won three Technical Image Press Association awards and four Best Product of the Year 2007 awards from the European Digital Press Association, reports www.packagingessentials.com.

Some of the awards include: HP Designjet z6100 for Best Wide Format Printer of the year, HP Premium Vivid Colour Backlit Film for Best Indoor Media of the Year, the HP Photosmart Studio for Best Photo Kiosk and the HP Scanjet G4050 for the Best Flatbed Photo Scanner.
