Adobe enters tablet app market

Social Barrel.

Adobe is launching these apps as part of its new initiative - Adobe Creative Cloud - that will serve as a hub for accessing desktop and tablet applications, and for other services.

All the apps address different needs in the realm of content creation, allowing users to work on their creations in ways that they could only do via desktop applications, or by hand before, reports PC World.

Perhaps the most significant release for many people will be Adobe Photoshop Touch, a version of Adobe Photoshop designed for touch capability. Many of Photoshop's key editing features are enabled with this software. Users can apply filters to an image, combine them with other images, or extract individual elements from an image. The tool menu has been redesigned so that one tool can be called directly from another tool, which saves space on the palette.

Single Edition for iPad is scheduled to be available for purchase at the end of November. It will be offered via Adobe's Web site. Users will be able to publish to the App Store through Single Edition for $395 per app, according to Pad Gadget.
