Adobe introduces Flash platform services

Adobe Systems has unveiled Adobe Flash Platform Services, an online service that lets content providers measure the effectiveness of their Web applications across social networks, desktops, and mobile devices, says PC World.

The online hosted service allows developers to add capabilities to their Web applications to make them more predictable and cost-efficient

Puneet Goel, product marketing manager for Adobe Flash Platform Services, says: "When people build content using Flash technologies, they have to distribute it, and it's common to try and share it through social media. So we're making that process of connecting Web applications to social media more sharable and collaborative.”

OpenLogic, Nuxeo partner

Enterprise open source software provider OpenLogic has partnered with Nuxeo, an open source enterprise content management (ECM) software and services provider, reports PR Canada.

OpenLogic is adding Nuxeo to its certified library, which contains open source applications and infrastructure. Both companies have agreed to sell and provide support for the fully integrated Nuxeo ECM stack.

Eric Barroca, CEO of Nuxeo, says: "Our partnership with OpenLogic enables us to sell globally a fully supported and integrated ECM stack including the application server and the database."

Alfresco puts ECM in the cloud

Alfresco, an open source ECM company, has rolled out a developer programme for community and enterprise versions of its software for the Amazon EC2 cloud computing platform, states ReadWriteEnterprise.

Alfresco says it's trying to capitalise on companies ready for the cloud with its new software stack and development kit.

The core of what Alfresco is offering is an Amazon Machine Image, a pre-built software package for creating a virtual machine on EC2.
