Adobe updates Flash Player
Android Police says.
The new version update includes Stage 3D, an architecture that enables hardware-accelerated rendering at 1 000x the speed of Flash Player 10, theatre-quality HD video, native 64-bit optimisations and HD video conferencing.
Adobe indicated that 2D and 3D graphics rendering through Stage 3D will only be available on Windows, Mac OS X and connected TVs.
Epic and Adobe are hoping to bring hardcore gaming to Facebook or Google+, perhaps, Technologizer notes.
“Flash Player is a key technology for gaming on social networks and the Web, and with UE3 will usher in the leap from simplistic 2D game experiences to world-class 3D gaming on the Web,” says Epic in a statement.
The partnership provides a nice little boost for Adobe, which has earned an unsavoury reputation for being a buggy resource hog.
