In January 2009 Immix Solutions arranged a seminar in Sandton focusing on the Microsoft Dynamics project management software. The meeting, attended by project management professionals, architects, civil engineers and quantity surveyors, was addressed by Kevin Jones from Aker Solutions, Digby Glover from TWP Consulting and Dr Kelvin Kemm, a Pretoria-based scientist and business strategy consultant. The software demonstrated a significant ability to keep both the relevant departments in an organisation fully up to date on the status of various projects, but also to keep other associated organisations “in the loop”. It emphasised the importance of constant communication between all key players in a project, and of empowering management to ask critical questions and to make relevant decisions. This clearly plays a vital role in keeping projects on track and ensuring that they remain successful.
