Local people development company, ADvTECH Skills, part of the JSE-listed ADvTECH Group, has announced that NETg has become the first technology-based training (TBT) company to win the prestigious "IT Training Company of the Year" awarded by the UK`s Institute of Training.
In addition, NETg has also scooped the Computing Excellence award for IT Training company of the year, issued by Computing, the UK`s most popular IT magazine. No company, particularly a TBT enterprise, has ever won both awards in the same year.
"This feat illustrates TBT`s growing dominance of the training market," says Mike Pitsillis, general manager of ADvTECH Skills. "The excellent performance of the product in these sought after awards underlines ADvTECH`s correct choice in partnering with NETg as its master distributor for sub-Saharan Africa," says Pitsillis. " We knew that traditional lecture-led training would not be able to withstand the onslaught of technology, with NETg`s success bearing out the growing demand for e-learning," he says.
The awards serve as an assurance for local clients of the international credibility and stature of NETg, Pitsillis continues. "With ADvTECH skills, the sub-Saharan market is guaranteed of having access to the very latest, and as judged by impartial industry experts, the best training product in the world."
"As part of the judging criteria NETg had to demonstrate excellence in company strategy, creativity, and effectiveness," says UK-based Julie-Anne Hatton, channel and international marketing manager for NETg.
"We have strengthened NETg`s leading position in the training industry with successful strategies focusing strongly on customer needs and innovative e-learning solutions, helping companies meet the challenges of the IT skills gap," Hatton says.
"NETg`s Learning Object Plus (NLO+) tool enables users to take the training courses and mix and match modules from different courses, and even to insert their own content to suite their specific needs. This flexibility, has without doubt contributed to the company`s current award-winning streak," she concludes.
