KEMP Technologies, the full-featured virtual load balancer software provider, has announced that its Virtual LoadMaster has achieved VMware Ready-vCloud Air status. This designation indicates that the Virtual LoadMaster has undergone technical validation within the vCloud Air environment and is supported on VMware vCloud Air.

"We are pleased that KEMP Technologies has joined the vCloud Air ISV Program and has achieved VMware Ready-vCloud Air certification. KEMP Technologies is one of the first partners to complete certification and achieve this status. KEMP's Virtual LoadMaster qualifies for the VMware Ready-vCloud Air logo, signifying to customers that it works seamlessly within VMware vCloud Air and can be deployed in production with confidence," said Sanjay Katyal, Vice President, Global Alliances & OEMs, VMware.

Additionally KEMP Technologies is a member of the access tier of the vCloud Air ISV programme and is listed on the VMware Solutions Exchange.

Atchison Frazer, Chief Marketing Officer, KEMP Technologies, says the domestic business market is fast becoming Cloud-ready and this latest achievement for the KEMP brand reinforces its credibility.

"It means that clients on the continent who wish to run workloads in the cloud no longer have to worry about management issues. KEMP is now certified to be deployed in the Cloud with no hassle," said Frazer.

Customers who want to extend workloads to the cloud are faced with the challenges of ensuring high availability and security of these deployed applications, confirming compatibility with technologies already in use in their on-premise environment, and implementing a way to intelligently steer client traffic to the correct and best endpoint for each request across cloud boundaries.

"By using KEMP's Virtual LoadMaster on vCloud Air, enterprises can gain greater agility by enabling them to easily scale applications, enhance performance, simplify disaster recovery and unify their hybrid environment. With over 50% of KEMP's deployments during the past year comprised of virtualised infrastructure and a large segment of KEMP's customers currently architecting a hybrid cloud strategy, we're enthusiastically looking forward to contributing to the adoption rate of vCloud Air and helping customers meet their load balancer software needs in a hybrid infrastructure." Frazer continued. .

Frazer believes that the African market is poised to take advantage of the certification and this will lead to greater rates of adoption of vCloud Air and the integration of load balancer software requirements.

The VMware Ready program is a co-branding benefit of the Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) programme that makes it easy for customers to identify partner products certified to work with VMware cloud infrastructure. Customers can use these products and solutions to lower project risks and realise cost savings over custom-built solutions. With thousands of members worldwide, the VMware TAP programme includes best-of-breed technology partners with the shared commitment to bring the best expertise and business solution for each unique customer need.

The KEMP Technologies Virtual LoadMaster can be found within the online VMware Solution Exchange (VSX) at https://solutionexchange.vmware.com/store/products/kemp-virtual-loadmaster-vlm-for-vmware-vcloud-air.

Customers wishing to evaluate the Virtual LoadMaster on vCloud Air will automatically be issued a 30-day trial licence upon activation of an instance on the platform. Simple migration options are also available for current KEMP customers to transfer existing on premise deployments to vCloud Air.
