IFSEC South Africa, the biggest commercial security, homeland security and fire exhibition on the African continent, takes place 18-20 June 2013, Gallagher Convention Centre, in Midrand. The 2013 event will now see the launch of IFSEC's first ever dedicated Fire Pavilion.
"Each year, IFSEC South Africa attracts thousands of senior decision-makers across the security sector, including those representing the fire industry," says Gary Corin, Managing Director, Specialised Exhibitions Montgomery, a member of UBM Montgomery, organiser of IFSEC South Africa 2013. "We're therefore proud to be launching the Fire Pavilion at the 2013 event, adding another dimension to the show and more value to visitors and exhibitors."
The IFSEC South Africa 2013 Fire Pavilion will provide an unparalleled opportunity for visitors to see and compare the widest range of innovative fire solutions, while meeting with industry experts from all aspects of fire detection and protection solutions. "It will also accommodate those exhibitors specialising in fire safety products and solutions," he goes on to say. "Not only does it provide a focused platform for their brands, but we will be complementing it with a seminar programme on legislation, standards and best practice."
Furthermore, IFSEC South Africa has signed a partnership agreement with the Fire Protection Association of Southern Africa (FPASA). "We're excited to have the association as a partner for the event," Corin says. "The fire detection, monitoring and prevention industry represents an important part of the wider sector."
Over the past two years, there have been some positive shifts in the industries, with focus on protecting equipment and physical assets, as well as human life; there has also been a focus on greater compliance. "We believe the Fire Pavilion will showcase integrated solutions and educate companies on the latest standards and regulations within the industry," he adds.
With a history dating back almost 20 years, and a recent winner of the 2012 EXSA Award for the Best Trade Exhibition in the 6 000-12 000 square metre category, IFSEC South Africa has positioned itself as a premier event in the sector. In 2012, it attracted almost 6 000 visitors from the government, trade and end-user market. The event attracts a wide range of visitors, including: installers, security consultants, systems integrators, IT/networking/telecoms representatives, as well as manufacturers of security products.
Attracting thousands of visitors, IFSEC South Africa 2013 offers an opportunity for companies to build their prospective databases, launch and demonstrate new products and entrench their marketing through heightened brand exposure.
"We've gained a solid reputation and long list of satisfied exhibitors that continue to return to the show each year," Corin points out. "It is the ideal place to generate new sales leads or simply maintain existing customer relationships."
IFSEC South Africa 2013 will also feature the dedicated Homeland Safety and Security Africa exhibition and conference, aimed at delegates representing various government departments. Once again, IFSEC South Africa is also co-located with OSH EXPO Africa 2013 at Gallagher Convention Centre. "Although only in its third year, OSH EXPO Africa is fast becoming the leading destination for exhibitors to launch and showcase the latest occupational safety and health products and services," he says.
As a vibrant and growing trade show, IFSEC presents exhibitors of fire and security brands with an unrivalled route-to-market and an opportunity to educate an influential audience with purchasing authority. For any professional in this industry, the seminar programmes will also offer knowledgeable speakers on topical issues as well as an opportunity for exhibiting brands to educate an influential audience about their products and services.
"IFSEC South Africa is the ultimate meeting place for the continent's leading security and fire professionals," says Corin. "With the new Fire Pavilion, adding a whole new dimension to the show, we're expecting our biggest event ever," he concluded.
