Asyst International SA, the sole distributor in Southern Africa for Access Accounts, today announced the availability of an Afrikaans capability for all modules of the Access Accounts product suite.
"This new version, which was translated locally, utilises the strong multi-language capability that is inherent within Dimensions, the Access Accounts flagship product," commented Paul Marketos, MD of Asyst International SA.
"Having an Afrikaans option brings a new dimension to our offerings in SA and makes Access Accounts one of the few accounting software packages available with this particular language facility. Considering the trend for vendors to develop software products to reach global markets, the multilingual user interface is a basic requirement in today`s software market.
"The Dimensions multi-language facility is particularly versatile," continued Marketos "Each member of staff can select the language they wish to use as standard, allowing clients to have different languages on each terminal in a multi-user environment. Defaults for customers and suppliers can also be specified allowing documents such as orders and invoices to be printed in the language of the recipient. Reports can be printed in any language loaded on the system. With this flexibility it is, for example, possible for the system to be operating in French, while printing invoices in German, Spanish and Italian, and producing reports in Japanese.
"This kind of elasticity is crucial in today`s global market. Users of the system will be faster and less prone to error when working in their own language. At the same time they can also satisfy the stringent reporting requirements of their clients, management or shareholders. This translates into massive efficiency savings, once again illustrating the effectiveness of Access Accounts."
