Sciforma Corp has announced full support of the Agile project management approach as part of its comprehensive project and portfolio management (PPM) solution.
The Agile approach is fast gaining ground in IT project management. Agile delivers accelerated business value through a process of continuous planning, delivery and feedback.
Agile was used during the development of the groundbreaking recent release of Sciforma S4 (previously called PSNext). In doing so, Sciforma has incorporated the tools needed for Agile project management by using easy drag-and-drop functionality, integrated graphs and more.
“S4 has amazing adaptability," according to Franc Retief, CEO of local distributor MPS. "S4 allows the full implementation of Agile, coupled with an almost unlimited capability to expand and customise the system as the maturity develops. In addition, it is possible to combine Agile with Critical Chain and Critical Path - all in one system. Each user only sees the functionality he/she requires, making the system really easy to use.”
The S4 Agile implementation provides full functionality needed to manage projects using Agile. This includes product definition, user stories and backlog items, scrum team definition, planning the sprint, daily updates with burndown charts, sprint reviews and more...
"What is interesting," says Retief, "although S4 has a very powerful scheduling capability with sophisticated Gantt charts, these tools are not required or even used for Agile management.
“There is no doubt that Sciforma S4 is the most flexible PPM system available today," says Retief. "This translates into providing end-users exactly what they want and need. The Sciforma mantra, 'Our adaptability is your key advantage' is really true.”
