AIGS to host EasyAsk event on 25 October

Johannesburg, 19 Oct 2011

AIGS, distributor of Progress Software and EasyAsk in South Africa, is to host a dedicated EasyAsk event, at The Forum, in Bryanston, on 25 October.

EasyAsk is a natural language search tool that simplifies business intelligence and e-commerce search. It allows users to interrogate their systems using basic English, rather than having to use complex scripting.

The event: 'Search that Means Business', hosted in conjunction with AIGS partners WishList Corporation and SmartWorks, will feature a number of presentations from local and international customers:

* Tiger Brands will show how it transformed its remuneration and benefits department, from days of slogging to easy finds in seconds.
* UTI Pharma will demonstrate how it uses snapshots of current daily activities on dashboards to track key information - obtaining “information at a glance”.
* Marc Schnabolk, VP, EasyAsk and international retail specialist, will reveal the current trends and objectives of leading international retailers such as Travers Tools, Lands End and Coldwater Creek Clothing Retailers. He will show how Harbor Freight Tools, with over 300 stores and online retail, applied EasyAsk techniques to sell more products.

Attendees will learn how they can increase revenue and gain market share, and explore live examples of how international retailers have used the solution to achieve higher conversion rates and increase product sales with more satisfied customers.

The event will be followed by a cocktail party.

“EasyAsk is a product that almost sells itself,” says AIGS head of business development, Louise Otto. “When people see how easy it is to operate, its speed of response, and rapid return on investment, they are enthusiastic adopters.

“We believe the South African market is ready to embark on a new era of faster, Web-based applications allowing customers more freedom and flexibility for self-help search options,” says Rick Parry, MD of AIGS.

“Our previous events at The Forum have been over-subscribed, so we urge attendees to respond as soon as possible.”

* The event begins at 1:30pm for 2pm. To register, click on the link to the AIGS Web site: http://www.aigs.co.za/index.php/media/search-that-means-business.
