Air Force initiates $800m outsourcing deal
The US Air Force is searching for a new contractor for its Global Combat Support System (GCSS-AF) contract, says InformationWeek.
The GCSS-AF uses logistics systems integrated within a services-oriented architecture. These services include a common hosting and messaging environment, business analytics, collaboration services and security services.
The contract is estimated to be worth $800 million, which includes upgrades to the Air Force IT infrastructure and services.

The ranking looks at companies' client testimonials, outsourcing experience, workforce skills and training, professional certifications and the track record of the management team.
The Global Outsourcing 100 is determined by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals.
