In an effort to streamline complaints procedures, hospitality company Airbnb has created a resource for neighbours of Airbnb hosts around the world.
Neighbours are now able to go to airbnb.com/neighbours to share specific concerns they might have about a host's guests or hosting activity in their community.
"These concerns could include things like noise complaints. When a neighbour clearly identifies a host's listing, we'll pass along the message when possible and provide some recommendations for resolving the issue with their neighbour," the company said in a statement.
The feature allows for neighbours to submit complaints anonymously or have their contact information passed on to the host. All neighbours will also receive a case number after submitting, which will allow them to follow up.
"We'll treat each case seriously and ensure we give hosts and their neighbours the opportunity to resolve concerns themselves, whenever possible," said Airbnb.
"Hosting is a big responsibility and those who repeatedly fail to meet our standards and expectations will be subject to suspension or removal from the Airbnb community."
