Airborne achieves quadruple Microsoft Gold Partner status

Niche Microsoft consultancy Airborne Consulting recently became one of only a handful of Cape Town-based Microsoft partners to achieve Gold Partner status in four key Microsoft competencies.

The achievement of Gold status represents the highest level of competence and expertise within Microsoft technologies, and reflects the partners that have the closest working relationship with Microsoft.

Says Airborne MD, Sean O' Connell: "It has always been our strategy to focus on a few key areas and excel in those, rather than provide mediocre services around a lot of different technologies. This is reflected in our choice of people, who are all experts in the technologies they work with."

Airborne has achieved the required level of expertise for Gold Partner certification in the Custom Development Solutions competency, the Data Management Solutions competency, the Networking Infrastructure Solutions competency, and the Information Worker Solutions competency.

The Custom Development Solutions competency is designed for partners that provide unique customer solutions through software development, application quality assurance (testing) and application architecture.

The Data Management Solutions competency is designed for partners that specialise in database applications, and the Networking Infrastructure Solutions competency is aimed at those partners with proven expertise in the design, deployment, and customisation of networking infrastructure solutions using Windows Server 2003 and Windows Small Business Server (SBS) 2003 technologies.

Achieving the Information Worker Solutions competency equips partners to address key customer challenges by developing solutions and deploying services based on the 2007 Microsoft Office system and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
