Airborne launches new consulting unit

Johannesburg, 19 Oct 2010

The Airborne Group has announced the launch of its new Consulting Unit, to provide high-end consulting and facilitation services within the IT and business space.

The unit will be headed up by newly appointed Lead Business Consultant, Nicholas Evans, who brings with him extensive technical, business, and facilitation experience.

He says: “More and more we see large companies with substantial IT budgets, who are just not getting what they need from IT, no matter how much money they throw at it, frustrated by the lack of alignment. Through effective facilitation, we can assist clients in progressing from a state of divergent views to a convergent view, overcoming challenges and determining the most appropriate solutions and strategies.”

The unit will provide consulting and facilitation around IT strategy, implementation of best practise, requirement analysis, problem analysis, and conflict resolution, and is already receiving a fantastic response from clients.

Says Evans: “IT is by no means immune to the politics of business, and by getting the key players together and addressing the issues in a structured, impartial manner, it becomes easy to facilitate the identification of requirements or solutions and determine the way forward. The process is quick, painless, and highly productive, and clients who have made use of the service thus far are now complete converts.”

The unit will be made up of several top Airborne consultants - all recognised as experts in their particular fields. Says Evans: “This is a seriously impressive group of consultants, the likes of which is not to be found anywhere else in the country, and one that is providing Airborne with a significant market differentiator.”

Says Airborne co-founder Brian Harding: “Airborne has always performed high-end consulting, but this new division gives us a far greater focus. We are finding more and more that our ability to deliver world-class software solutions is often impeded by lack of IT and business alignment, or unclear and inefficient business processes.

“We are thus now able to provide clients with a more comprehensive offering that will truly enable them to achieve real ROI on their various solutions and investments. We are particularly delighted to have Nic on board as he has an impressive track record in this space, and will be a valuable asset to the team,” Harding concludes.
