Alacrity appoints new Chief Technology Officer

Alacrity has announced the appointment of Dr Andrew Boake as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the group company.

Boake joins Alacrity from Absa Financial Services, where he was most recently its Chief Solutions Architect.

Boake, a highly experienced technology professional and PhD computer science graduate, remains active in academic circles. He has published a number of academic papers, presented at conferences and is involved in software engineering and software architecture research at the University of Pretoria, where he lectures and supervises postgraduate students in software engineering and software architecture, referees research articles for academic journals and conferences.

Boake is also an evaluator of Innovation Fund projects for the National Research Foundation. An avid learner, Andrew is currently completing a PhD in information systems at the University of Leiden, in the Netherlands, looking to improve software architecture decisions.
