Alacrity develops Activity Tracker for SPCA

Cape Town, SA, 26 May 2011

The SPCA is the latest organisation to benefit from software company Alacrity's commitment to social investment. The company has developed a cloud-based system to assist the Swartland West Coast SPCA with activity tracking and reporting.

The Swartland West Coast SPCA covers a region of about 10 000 square kilometres, and this tool assists the organisation to capture and track activities on a daily basis. The system records all detail regarding admissions, adoptions, cruelty, investigations and treatments on a per animal category basis. Each SPCA needs to provide reports on all their activity on an annual basis to the National SPCA, and this system now automates that process too. Fast and efficient so that staff can spend more time educating, caring for animals, preventing cruelty and fundraising to support their activities.

“The new system allows the management committee to track all activities at our SPCA on a daily, monthly and annual basis online. It is a superb management tool that enables us to make the best possible decisions when managing our resources to achieve the paramount objective, the prevention of cruelty to animals,” adds Colette Mang, Chairperson, Swartland and West Coast SPCA.
