Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) has announced it has successfully organised the 7th Alcatel-Lucent Partner “Rendezvous” Southern & Eastern Africa.
Held at Birchwood Hotel (between the 20 and 22 April), the annual gathering provided a unique venue for all business partners to network with their African peers and share the insights of their local business environment.
For the first time, Alcatel-Lucent expanded the event to three days of conferencing and practical courses dedicated to sales and pre-sales. The 2010 edition was an exclusive opportunity to streamline the partners with the latest organisational information as well as introducing the new solutions and products such as the Alcatel-Lucent OmniTouch 8082 My IC Phone.
Highly expected by the 95 participants, Ravin Naidu along with Roch Muraine (Enterprise Marketing Director - Middle East & Africa) unveiled the new Enterprise Market Group's Vision built on Dynamic Customer Engagement and Dynamic Employee Engagement strategies, recently announced at VoiceCon.
Throughout the first conferencing day, the Alcatel-Lucent team exemplified its new go-to-market approach through its recent success stories and references.
To bring further knowledge to sellers and pre-sellers, the three-day workshops carried on breadth and depth presentations focused on three key areas: IP telephony, data networking and small- and medium-sized businesses solutions. Unlike the previous “Rendezvous”, Alcatel-Lucent designed a specific training programme to enhance the technical and selling expertise of its partners. Critical to guiding its audience, Alcatel-Lucent introduced the expanded set of offerings encompassing the Enterprise portfolio and Genesys call centre product line.
