Alchemex launches e-Learning

Johannesburg, 03 May 2006

Alchemex Reporting Solutions remains at the cutting-edge of BI and has enhanced its capacity to enable its partners and end-users by the release of its online training academy. This South African based BI software vendor will continue to gain traction in the market through its ability to train partners and users online from the comfort of their own office chair.

"We have received many requests for an online solution as more companies adopt the e-learning phenomenon as a skills transfer standard," says Gary Boddington, MD of Alchemex Pty Ltd, "and all the feedback we received from our beta phase and pre-launch activities have confirmed that our online academy is the answer to more rapid proliferation of Alchemex skills in the market."

The benefits of online training are obvious for those that find it difficult to create the time to get to off-site training rooms losing a day or more in the process of learning new skills. Alchemex has invested in overcoming this barrier to learning and some of the benefits include:

* Training at the learner`s pace in the comfort of their own office.
* Experienced facilitators available to answer any queries.
* High quality animations for step-by-step walkthroughs.
* Relevant business examples to maximise the learning experience.
* Instant training and certification feedback.

Alchemex Reporting Solutions was founded in 2001 to provide a simple yet powerful BI solution for the SME market and currently has nearly 2 000 companies using its software. It offers a range of software and solutions for the frustrated Excel user who wants to automate their reports in Excel, formatted the way they choose at the click of a button. Phase one of the academy, which was launched on 1 April 2006, includes training material to cover core software modules. Alchemex has revealed that phase two, due for release later this year, will include a lot more interactive training functionality and the content trained will be extended to include its hugely popular "Excel on Steroids" advanced Excel training which shares its expertise in using Excel as a BI tool and not just a spreadsheet.
