Alexander Forbes Financial Services, a division of the Alexander Forbes Group, recently signed a R2 million deal with Dimension Data to facilitate a power upgrade at its headquarters in Katherine Street, Sandton.
Dimension Data upgraded Alexander Forbes` existing infrastructure by replacing its previous equipment with two uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and an 850KBA generator. Alexander Forbes will now enjoy backup for its IT infrastructure as well as its emergency infrastructure and power supply.
Says Brad Eliot, Alexander Forbes group IT director: "We needed to address our insufficient backup power infrastructure and Dimension Data was able to provide us with a solution that catered for both our current and future needs."
"We have essentially future-proofed Alexander Forbes` infrastructure by providing them with a power upgrade that will cater for their future requirements and ensure that their systems are fully backed-up at all times," says Nick Shaw, solutions manager at Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure.
"When it came to selecting a partner for our upgrade requirements, Dimension Data was a natural choice given our longstanding relationship with the company," concludes Eliot.
