The world`s largest dairy equipment manufacturer, Alfa Laval Agri, has signed a contract with Enterprise Connection - a leading turnkey business solution provider - to install the Windows-based Solomon accounting package at its South African operation.
"Unlike our older, ineffective system, Solomon will allow Alfa Laval Agri to change the way in which we do business, as the package can be effortlessly customised to suit any company`s accounting needs. The Enterprise Connection consultants also made a concerted effort to familiarise themselves with our business," says Kevin Lovell, MD of Alfa Laval Agri.
"One of the key things that impressed us most about Solomon is that it is workflow enabled and is specifically designed for easy upgrade to new versions, without losing a company`s customised management system. It is also a user-friendly system that will grow with the unique demands of Alfa Laval Agri," added Mr Lovell.
Distributed and sold by Enterprise Connection, a division of The Connection Group`s Solutions Division, Solomon is a workflow-enabled, open and flexible accounting package with 3 500 different software modules. Enterprise Connection offers the highest levels of support for Solomon, freeing clients from the need to rely on dedicated IT staff to extract management information.
According to Mike Simms of Enterprise Connection, Alfa Laval Agri needed to change their old system to one which was stable, reliable and easy to use. Most importantly the new system would need to free employees from excessive administration and allow them to fulfill their core functions.
