The partnership, announced yesterday at EMC's Momentum 2010 event, in Lisbon, Portugal, will see Capgemini's Collaboration+ framework integrate with EMC's Documentum enterprise content management technologies and with Microsoft's SharePoint Platform.
According to the companies in the alliance, the new framework is designed to drive efficiencies around any business process that requires collaboration, while maintaining adherence to corporate compliance standards.
It is estimated that, through this framework, businesses could lower costs by 25-45% and enhance employee productivity by a factor of between two and four, says Capgemini.
“Effective deployment of technologies enabling workplace collaboration can yield major productivity improvements.
“With the Collaboration+ framework, Capgemini brings together EMC's enterprise content management solutions with Microsoft's familiar interface and mission-critical SQL database, enabling organisations to support business agility through a unified enterprise platform,” concludes Paul Nannetti, global leader of the Business Information Management Service Line at Capgemini.
