Alliance to streamline legal processes

Software makers K2 and Informative Graphics have partnered to simplify incorporating redaction technology into workflow and business process management solutions, according to PR.com.

“This partnership is exciting for us and it will be quite meaningful in many verticals, but particularly in the legal sector,” said K2's Glen Bryant, VP for Americas.

“Legal organisations are often burdened with mounds of paperwork to process, and much of it contains sensitive information. The alliance of these two companies brings about powerful solutions that eliminate paperwork, streamline processes, ensure compliance and manage information securely,” Bryant said.

Hospital gets BPM solution

Streamline Health Solutions says a paediatric hospital has implemented the first of several of its BPM workflow solutions, reports PR Newswire.

With a need to eliminate labour-intensive paper processes and to achieve greater overall operating efficiencies, this institution chose BPM technology solutions by Streamline Health tailored to the hospital's specific business processes.

The initial deployment offers compliance assistance to the human resources department providing easy access and monitoring of information associated with the entitlement of the Family Medical Leave Act.

Interactive Intelligence to release IPA beta

Indianapolis-based unified IP business communications provider Interactive Intelligence is working on a communications-based solution for automating business processes, says InfoWorld.

The add-on software application, Interaction Process Automation (IPA), is designed to sit on top of the company's existing Customer Interaction Centre IP communications platform used by roughly 3 000 organisations worldwide.

IPA is currently in beta and scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2009. Pricing is estimated at $400 to $500 per year, per user. The product will be sold under a software subscription model.
