New eBucks member registrations and activity increased substantially on the back of the `Greatest Reward on Earth` competition launched in August 2005 by eBucks and First National Bank (FNB). The competition`s main prize is a sub-orbital space trip.
"Early indications are that the competition has indeed succeeded in getting the whole of South Africa talking," comments Lezanne Human, CEO of eBucks. "We believe we have ignited our members` imagination with this competition. They are increasingly experiencing the value and reward of being an eBucks member."
Michael Jordaan, CEO of FNB, says: "FNB is proud to be associated with such an innovative and groundbreaking competition. We always knew that this campaign was going to create enormous perceptual value. FNB and eBucks are looking forward to the announcement of the winner, which takes place on 29 November - we are counting down the days to this momentous occasion!"
To further entice, various second tier prizes, each to the value of R100 000, are also up for grabs. They include: a garden make-over from GardenShop, a diamond and tanzanite neckpiece from Arthur Kaplan Jewellers, a shopping spree at Makro for home entertainment products from LG Electronics, an international travel experience from Kalahari.net, a five-star local travel experience with Avis, eyewear from Spec Savers and from the eBucks Shop - a Canon camera with a trip to an exclusive local game reserve with one of the world`s leading wildlife photographers.
The countdown is on ... launch yourself into the stars by making sure you are entered into the `Greatest Rewards on Earth` competition!
