DDR SDRAM (double data rate SDRAM) is synchronous dynamic RAM (SDRAM) that can improve memory bandwidth via a clock speed of 266MHz. It transfers data on both the rising and falling edge of the system clock rather than on just the rising edge, thus doubling throughput. One of the benefits of this is more available bandwidth through the memory BUS enhancing many processing aspects.
Alpica DDR SDRAM is manufactured on a six-layer printed circuit board (PCB), which provides a high level of reliability. Using components from major DRAM manufacturers, the range has a five-year warranty and therefore offers peace of mind to system integrators.
