Altech Technology Concepts has introduced the next generation of its bonded high-speed Internet access service for businesses that need high-capacity links.
According to the company, recently acquired by the Altech Group, South African businesses that require enterprise-class leased line data services can now have high-speed Internet access at more affordable rates.
It says its TC Channel Bonding technology combines multiple ADSL connections to create a single, virtual high-speed connection.
“High-speed connectivity is perceived as the domain of big business only,” says Altech Technology Concepts CEO, Wayne de Nobrega. But he adds that TC Channel Bonding technology makes big bandwidth affordable for smaller organisations, bringing them a level of performance usually available only to large enterprises.
According to De Nobrega, the company is able to optimise the TC Channel Bonding technology through an advanced hosting infrastructure at two independent data centres.
“We can switch, link and use the various capabilities of our own data centres, with additional flexibility through our two upstream service providers' infrastructure to deliver the best quality
broadband at the most affordable price,” says De Nobrega.
He adds that the technology overcomes congestion and performance limitations associated with standard ADSL and leased line infrastructures.
TC Channel Bonding can also be used by companies needing high-performance links between branch offices, as it can replace leased lines between offices and increase inter-branch communications up-time and performance, concludes De Nobrega.
