Amadeus draws on support of Integr8 for latest major project

Johannesburg, 24 Aug 2010

When Amadeus Southern Africa recently implemented a project to migrate its largest customer to the Amadeus Sales Management Solution, it drew upon the services and support of the Integr8 Group to assist with the project's rollout.

The Integr8 Group has been Amadeus Southern Africa's preferred ICT services partner since 2004, and as such, in this case it deployed technical engineers to assist with full support and integration services.

IT engineers were stationed on site at 12 Amadeus customer branches nationwide to fulfil the upgrade of existing Amadeus front-office software, and thereafter to test that users were able to operate the new system with optimal effect.

The Amadeus Sales Management Solution is a fully integrated point-of-sale solution that combines front-, mid- and back-office functions to enhance and streamline the productivity of travel agency partners.

Peter Long, Amadeus GTD Southern Africa GM, confirms this as the largest rollout Amadeus has implemented on the African continent. “This project would not have been feasible without the close co-operation of the Integr8 Group. Our clients see the Integr8 staff as Amadeus employees,” says Long. The Integr8 Group has taken the time to understand our solutions one hundred percent and, in so doing, are able to be true partners.”

Says Robert Sussman, joint CEO of the Integr8 Group: “Our mandate was to remove the existing front-office software, deploy enhanced software, test as well as confirm that all infrastructure was in full working order. We've been part of the development and advancement of Amadeus and its infrastructure for many years. We're very pleased to have been able to continue to provide meaningful, results-driven service and support to our client as well as to the travel sector, in which they feature as a respected leader.”

Myles Keague, IT manager at Amadeus Southern Africa, states: “We're proud to be associated with Integr8, a progressive company that has the necessary expertise, product knowledge and experience required to make a difference and add sustainable value to our core operations. This latest project required consistency and meticulous attention to detail in order to ensure that applications ran smoothly and that all bases were covered.”
