Amazon reveals Cloud Player for Apple
Cloud Player app is now available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices via Apple's App Store, CNET reports.
The app lets users stream or download music stored in their Amazon cloud to their Apple devices. They can also play music already saved on their devices and create their own playlists.
Filling up Amazon cloud with music requires users to first download Amazon's browser-based Cloud Player and the MP3 uploader. After those are installed, users can view their cloud space and upload music directly from their computers. They can also store any music that they buy directly from Amazon.
According to Hindustan Times, Amazon, a big rival to Apple's iTunes, will not be selling music through the app but will allow its customers to manage and listen on Apple hardware.
The service includes 5GB of free storage and users have the option to pay a yearly fee for additional space on Amazon's servers, BGR writes.
