The AMD Fusion Developer Summit (AFDS) conference board has issued a call for presentation proposals from software development leaders in heterogeneous and GPU computing.
The inaugural AFDS will be held from 13 to 16 June 2011, in Bellevue, Washington. Presentation proposals must be submitted by 4 February 2011, and all proposals will be reviewed by a conference board composed of researchers, academics and practitioners in the field. Selected candidates will be notified by 16 March 2011.
AFDS will gather developers, academics and emerging innovators who are developing next-generation software.
The summit will provide software developers with an opportunity to learn more about accelerated processing unit technology and programming methodologies using industry-standard application programming interfaces such as OpenCL, OpenGL and Microsoft DirectCompute, among others.
During the AMD Fusion Developer Summit, participants will engage in interactive sessions and hands-on labs to learn more about APU features and deepen their knowledge of advanced parallel processing programmability.
