Amvia introduces a new RightFax connector module from Captaris that integrates RightFax 8.0 capabilities with Panagon Image Services from FileNET Corporation. RightFax Connector for Panagon permits faxing to function as a channel for inbound and outbound e-document delivery and archiving with the Panagon system. Panagon Image Services is a high-volume digital image server for storing, retrieving, and managing transactional content and objects of all types, and it is widely used in content-intensive industries such as insurance and financial services.
RightFax Connector for Panagon allows the latest version of the RightFax server to function as a high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable exchange hub to extend the FileNET Panagon system. RightFax serves as an intelligent component of the system, because key data points can be captured from an inbound fax. This allows electronic content to be indexed and automatically routed and/or stored in the content repository. When an outbound document is sent from Panagon through the RightFax server, all Panagon-supported annotations remain intact, and RightFax automatically distributes the outbound documents as faxes. The RightFax Connector for Panagon can be used to quickly scale the capabilities of RightFax upward as content requirements increase. Redundant connectors can be used in fault tolerant configurations to assure high availability. Because of its three distinct operating modes, the new RightFax connector can be fine tuned to the volume and content-type requirements of a particular Panagon system.
