AmVia announces support for Cisco`s AVVID

AmVia - Voicematix announced today its support of IP solutions within Cisco`s AVVID (Architecture for , Video and Integrated ) for its AllMedia Contact Centre and Unified Messaging offerings.

This new development provides a wide range of enterprises with a comprehensive customer interaction management solution on a converged Internet Protocol (IP)-enabled communication infrastructure. Companies deploying Cisco`s IP telephony solutions based on Cisco AVVID can now utilise AmVia`s award winning solution, ContactPro, to offer the complete range of customer interaction management capabilities, including automatic call distribution, interactive voice response, interactive text chat, web collaboration, predictive dialling, voice mail, supervisory monitoring, recording and more.

"Cisco AVVID offers an extensible solution for the integration of voice, email, and web traffic across one common infrastructure," said Bill Erdman, Director of Marketing for Cisco Systems Enterprise Voice and Video Business Unit. "An open, standards-based architecture, Cisco AVVID provides customers with the flexibility to integrate innovative multi-vendor solutions such as ContactPro for a wide range of communication applications on their converged network."

ContactPro has the unique ability to outfit all customer contact centres from 10-seat implementations to mission-critical installations comprising of hundreds or thousands of seats, utilising the single comprehensive software solution.

Unique to AmVia`s Unified Messaging product - CallXpress - is its extensive scalability to 128 ports, providing an IP-based unified messaging solution that gives enterprises the ability to scale from 100 to tens of thousands of users. In addition, this new support dramatically reduces the total cost of ownership for enterprises and brings the enhanced communications tools for mobile professionals to Cisco CallManager users.

AmVia says it has been providing IP-capable unified messaging since 1995 and its strategy of simultaneously supporting both circuit-based switches and state-of-the-art IP-based PBXs, facilitates Cisco`s initiative to migrate enterprises from legacy telephone systems to the CallManager IP telephony solution.

Support of Cisco`s AVVID is an extension of AmVia`s commitment to bringing enhanced IP telephony applications to the market.
