AmVia has appointed Microsoft certified partner company Galdon Data as its first service partner, guaranteeing in-depth technical expertise and support services to AmVia`s business partners and end-users.
Amvia provides flexible access to and control of all message types from any communication device, be it voice, fax, unified or mobile messaging, to over 80% of the top 100 corporates countrywide.
The appointment forms part of a stated objective by AmVia to aggressively expand its presence in the mobile messaging market through, among others, the appointment of technical support partners.
Robyn Grobbelaar, chief growth officer: AmVia, says that as service partner, Galdon Data will offer high quality, first- and second-level services country-wide to AmVia-accredited channel partners.
These services include managed implementations with service level agreements for on-site technical support of the entire AmVia product offering, performed by AmVia-certified engineers from Galdon Data.
"Galdon Data has an excellent service track record, very strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills and a culture of `the customer is king`," says Grobbelaar. "It also has in-depth experience in the deployment of AmVia solutions.
"With this partnership, AmVia is freed to focus fully on `up-skilling` its channel partners, while finding and launching more best-of-breed messaging solutions to enhance its business partners` product offering."
AmVia will also provide further value-add, via third-level technical support to its channel partners.
Garry Ackerman, managing director: Galdon Data, says his company has gone a long way to ensure its teams have the necessary expertise to implement AmVia solutions, as well as integrate these into peripheral systems such as Lotus Notes, SQL Server and SAP.
Rather than competing with AmVia`s business partners, Galdon Data will now partner with them to ensure consistency in completion of the sale. This includes providing pre-sales technical consulting, and conducting joint presentations to show how the solution will fit in with the client`s business architecture.
AmVia and Galdon Data have already had significant success with the service partnership, supporting clients such as British American Tobacco, Mondi Paper, Standard Bank and Telkom, where various AmVia technologies have been implemented.
