Local value-added distributor AmVia is pleased to announce the recent appointment of i-TEAM as a reseller of its popular Meridio and EMC EmailXtender solution sets.
i-TEAM is a dynamic black empowerment company which has grown from its roots as an infrastructure company to one which now offers solutions-driven technology offerings.
"There is high demand in the local industry in the areas of document management and retrieval as well as storage and e-mail management, and it is with this that we have begun widening the net of business partners to support the technologies we currently offer within the Meridio and EMC EmailXtender product lines," states Kevin Hurwitz, managing director of AmVia.
Meridio develops eDRM solutions exclusively for Microsoft platforms which enable organisations to integrate their existing information sources seamlessly and securely. Users can access the full functionality of the Meridio solution via familiar Microsoft tools, maximising adoption and reducing training overheads.
EMC EmailXtender is an archiving solution that helps retain and manage e-mail as a record of business in order to achieve regulatory compliance, adhere to corporate retention policies, and support legal discovery activities.
Hurwitz adds that the appointment of i-TEAM as an AmVia business partner was due to the company`s core focus on solutions-driven offerings within the document and record management arena.
According to Peter Boraine, Business Development Director at i-TEAM: "We have been looking at the trends in the market and we see a demand from companies looking to ensure they are meeting compliance issues as stipulated by government, while at the same time extracting business value out of the solutions that they deploy. Adding the Meridio and EMC EmailXtender products will assist i-TEAM in growing its total solutions offering package. The company currently works within the financial services, government/public sector, manufacturing, telecoms and mining sectors as well as with a number of medium-sized organisations.
