Local value-added distributor AmVia has announced the official appointment of Robyn Grobbelaar, its youngest female board member, to the position of head of operations in SA. Focused on the sales, channel and service divisions, Grobbelaar initially undertook the position just under a year ago.
AmVia says the appointment was necessitated through its relocation of core operations from Cape Town to Johannesburg in response to escalating demand from its business partners. Furthermore, AmVia believes Grobbelaar will be pivotal in addressing the sophisticated needs of the corporate enterprise and government markets.
Grobbelaar states that there has been a tremendous upsurge in demand for AmVia`s business process automation and e-document delivery solutions. "The maturation of our market has demanded that we take a diagnostic and solution-selling approach to addressing our customers` needs," she says.
AmVia and its business partners work together cohesively to tackle multiple decision makers and complex decision criteria within specific organisations, she explains.
With AmVia being the exclusive distributor for products including RightFax, CallXpress, TELEform and LiquidOffice, Grobbelaar sees her role as twofold. "Firstly, my team educates the marketplace about AmVia`s offerings that swiftly deliver return on investment, process and productivity enhancements to existing ICT environments. Secondly, we generate market demand through our base of accredited business partners, empowering them to understand customer issues and opportunities," she says.
"My team`s role lies in assisting our business partners to understand the unique challenges faced by their customers while delivering solutions that foster long-term relationships that create symbiotic benefits," Grobbelaar concludes.
