Local value-added distributor AmVia says International Data Corporation`s (IDC) first-ever forecast and analysis for the business process automation (BPA) software market correlates with the strong uptake the company is currently experiencing in the sector.
According to IDC, revenues are expected to reach $1.87 billion by 2006, compared with $295 million in 2001. For the market to achieve this growth, IDC believes the next 18 months will be a crucial period during which vendors will need to educate customers about the benefits of BPA.
Gil Caplan, founding AmVian, concurs: "We have seen a tremendous upsurge in interest and demand for our suite of BPA solutions from our business partners and their clients. We believe that our continued efforts in educating the market will lead to further penetration in both the public and private sectors."
AmVia secured the distribution rights for Cardiff Software`s TELEform and LiquidOffice BPA software late last year. Since then, the company has initiated a number of programmes aimed at exposing IT and business professionals to the very latest integrated BPA solutions. This includes profiling the advantages of automated data and document capture where enterprises can quickly extract, capture, verify, process and index large quantities of information. This offers a rapid return on investment from existing IT environments such as Oracle, SAP, Baan and Siebel.
"At Cardiff we are already seeing greatly increased demand for our BPA solutions," states Helge Rognstad, EMEA Marketing Manager, Cardiff Software Ltd. "This is largely due to the fact that the companies that improved profits last year were the organisations that reduced their bottom line, rather than increased revenue. As such, companies today are eager to invest in market-proven software that reduces costs and improves profitability while delivering a reliable return on investment," he concludes.
