Mobile messaging solutions specialist AmVia and high-end software consulting and sales organisation Infogenics Consulting have entered into a business partnership to provide mobility solutions to the corporate market.
A member of the SBS Africa Holdings group, Infogenics procures innovative applications to enhance the capabilities of Windows NT, Windows 2000, Netware and Solaris Unix, allowing customers to maximise their return on investment.
Anthony Davies, sales and marketing director, SBS Africa, says mobile messaging is a fast-growing and exciting market, with innovative technologies being introduced.
"AmVia has the best quality products in this niche and Infogenics has a ready market for these solutions in its established corporate client base, which includes one of SA`s main cellular airtime providers."
Davies says the AmVia partnership will enable Infogenics to move forward from selling infrastructure to providing enterprise solutions to its customers.
"With AmVia`s messaging tools, Infogenics can offer its customers a complete solution for reliable wireless access to corporate resources and information."
Gaining access to AmVia`s technologies will also have a positive financial impact on Infogenics` clients, Davies notes.
"AmVia`s mobility solutions improve business efficiency by boosting communications response times and improving productivity to drive down costs significantly."
He believes AmVia`s selective approach to appointing business partners sets it apart in the South African channel community, which tends to appoint too many companies as business partners or value-added resellers.
"With SBS Africa being a successful player in the information technology (IT) industry for 17 years, the business partnership with Infogenics means AmVia will be working with a reputable and experienced IT solutions provider."
Fairoz Jaffer, inland growth officer, AmVia, says Infogenics will provide consulting and sales services in the areas of electronic document delivery and mobile messaging.
"Infogenics` Microsoft skills and Novell expertise complement AmVia`s skills base very well, while the company is also developing the resources to install the AmVia products and offer clients first- and second-line technical support."
