AmVia strengthens ties with Australian technology

Johannesburg, 08 Aug 2001

AmVia, specialists in mobile messaging solutions has announced the finalisation of an exclusive distribution agreement between AmVia NZ Ltd and M2, the Australian digital business communications and messaging systems company for the M2 product range in New Zealand.

This follows the very successful alliance with AmVia in SA and effective immediately, Bruce Liddle, M2`s General Manager in New Zealand, has become part of the AmVia NZ team, as the dedicated Product Manager.

He will now have 100% focus on the support and expansion of the dealer channels, which he has set-up over the last nine months, while having the backing of AmVia`s 24 hour technical support team.

Kevin Hurwitz, mission controller of AmVia, comments: "By adding the M2 range to the AmVia product suite in New Zealand, AmVia further cements itself as the strongest messaging business in New Zealand, offering a full range of products from small, solid state systems to the latest in unified messaging solutions."

M2`s Managing Director, Vaughan Bowen said of the alliance: "We have now been working closely with the AmVia Group for more than half a year, initially through our distribution alliance in SA and now in New Zealand. Of all of M2`s international distribution partners, AmVia has to date been the most effective in penetrating dealer and manufacturer channels with our products. Based on these proven results, the melding of our product range and key personnel in New Zealand with AmVia`s established operation simply made sense."
