An ICT event in Africa targeted exclusively at government

Johannesburg, 04 May 2005

Terrapinn is planning a unique ICT conference and exhibition targeted exclusively at African governments: Government Technology World Africa 2005, 9 to 11 November 2005.

Gallagher Estate, Midrand, is the place where government decision-makers from all tiers of government meet and do business with technology solution providers. It is a forum where ideas are sourced, the latest technology is demonstrated and partnerships are formed to further the provision of better government services to the people.

The Government Technology World Africa 2005 conference will address the key strategic issues surrounding the use of technology in government. With a strong case study base, the conference draws on the knowledge and experience of a host of renowned speakers and panellists from throughout Africa and internationally.

The Government Technology World Africa 2005 exhibition is where all the major vendors and suppliers will gather to showcase and demonstrate their technology solutions to government decision-makers from throughout the African continent. The Government Technology World Africa 2005 exhibition is the place where buyers and sellers of technology solutions for the public sector meet to network, evaluate and do business.

Our mission is (a) to assist African governments in procuring ICT solutions to streamline their business processes, and (b) to create business opportunities for ICT vendors wanting to penetrate the lucrative African public sector.

Research is undertaken by way of face-to-face and telephone interviews with senior industry executives to set the conference agenda while attracting the highest level of speakers to our conference.

Some of the topics that will discussed at the conference include:

* Improving government service delivery in Africa.
* Funding African e-government projects - where`s the money?
* Understanding the value of knowledge management and business intelligence in the public sector.
* Aligning storage technology with public sector requirements and objectives.
